PUSHPANJALI – Gajavadana
Raaga: Sriranjani Taala: Aadhi
In this Invocatary dance, the dancer offers flowers and seeks the blessings of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Saraswathi, and Lord Nataraja. She also offers respects to her Teacher, Artists, and the audience.




ALARIPPU
Taalam: Chatusra
Chatusra Alarippu is a pure dance that is set to four beats, with a perfect harmony of movement among the head, the eyes, the shoulder, and the feet. The steps are formed so that it looks like a bud blooming into a flower or ALARIPPU.




JATHISWARAM
Raaga: Nalinakanthi Taala: Aadhi
JATHISWARAM consists of dance sequences {jathis} that are set to a melody of notes {swaras} and rhythm{taalam}. This dance does not involve expressions and becomes progressively complex.




VARNAM - Devaramuni
Raaga : Shanmughapriya Taala : Aadhi
This is the longest dance in the recital, exhibits in full measure, all of the elements of this beautiful dance form, and tests the dancer's stamina, endurance, dance and expression skills. This varnam in Tamil is on Lord Venkateshwara and depicts scenes from his abode in the Thirumala/Thirupathi temples and his 10 incarnations{avatars}.




BAARO KRISHNAIAH
Raaga: Maalika Taala: Aadhi
This is a Kuchipudi Tarangam dance which talks about Sri Krishna at Udupi and how Kanakadasa was blessed with the darshan of Lord Krishna and also in tarangam, the dancer places a pot on her head and feet balanced on the rim of a brass plate and manipulates the plate with gestures.




SHIVAPADAM – Aadi Kondaar
Raaga: Mayamalavagowla Taala: Aadhi
This Tamil song is in praise of Lord Nataraja of Chidambaram. The composer says " Do we not need a 1000 eyes to see the wonders of His dance". He describes the Lord as He who resides in all those who seek him in prayer.

SARASWATHI Padam–Shrungapuradeeswari Sharade
Raaga: Kalyani Taala: Aadhi
This Kannada song, which sings the praises of Goddess Sharada at Sringeri.
The one who was served by Guru Shankaracharya, she is the bestower of the arts and knowledge.




THILLAANA
Raaga: Mohana Kalyani Taala: Aadhi
An exuberant celebration of joy in dance, the THILLAANA is a traditional finale in Bharatanatyam recital. This fast-paced dance combines rhythmic and cross-rhythmic patterns, intricate footwork, and sculpturesque poses.




MANGALAM
The dancer expresses her gratitude to the Divine, the Guru, the accompanying Artists and the Audience for their support in the concluding piece Mangalam.
